After a pleasant ride up two cable cars from Ortisei to the Seceda plateau, we were stunned by these beautiful mountains. Seceda is over 8000 feet above sea level. These two mountains are nearly 10,000 feet high. Like all the Dolomites they were ancient coral reefs thrust up by tectonic shifts. That's enough of the science lesson. Just look at the photo.
